Well played, Fred. Makes it a win/win for us. Good win if we come out ahead and now turns into a meaningless loss come March as we were missing two of our top six guys if we lose.

Right move by Fred, he knows what he's doing. Will need others to step up, but still have a pretty good shot to win, but Iowa definitely a favorite now.

Somewhere in the U.S.
The other players just need to step up.

Without seeing the press conference or hearing what Fred had to say, this tells me that he and BDJ had an agreement, and BDJ did not live up to his end of it, so he really gave Fred no choice. I hope BDJ learns something from this. Time will tell.

There had to be consequences, and this seems light. Much better than doing nothing at all, though.

I respect Fred's decision. I think he did what he knew he had to do even though it was probably not easy. BDJ has to figure it out. He has a chance to be a part of something special and prove that he's capable of making a career out of basketball. If he hasn't learned his lesson by now I don't know if this is going to change anything, but he certainly wouldn't have learned it if this went unpunished.
