It is a statistical fact that home and road teams shoot identical FT percentages over a large sample size. So I guess that makes you Clay Aiken and me....Rueben Studdard?
Calling out the student section for being bland and unoriginal, then offering up two terrible ideas that may have come from an underclassman in high school.... Cool.

When you can explain to me why the old people sit down after timeouts intended to slow down ISU momentum as well as why the non-students could barely be heard until late in the k-state game while the students were being as loud as they could the entire game. Then, and only then will I accept your criticism.
Back in my day we were #1 in free throw defense every year. Visiting teams averaged 0.02% from the free throw line. Get your **** together current students.

I was just going to go until I got to a year where we were good but I figured once I got to 03 I might as well go as far back as Kenpom does since it's only one more year.
I don't think the op is saying we have a bad student section, I think all he's saying is that they need to find more original ways to distract free throw shooters. What they are doing obviously isn't having much of an effect on the shooters. Need to find multiple things that are very distracting and rotate those things so that shooters don't get used to one thing and so they are always as uncomfortable as possible.
That is crazy! I think its ludicrous to think our students are to blame since we consistently have some of the best crowds. However that data is too consistent. There has to be something to it, or is it just the old: "We're Iowa State"?
Funny how it's always someone else's fault. "They" should do something about this issue for "us" so that "we" aren't so bad. OP, what did your last sign say that was so clever? What were you yelling?
