The guy is 39 years old....I don’t think he’s quite ready to destroy his career by going to the Browns quite yet.
Browns have a talented, young roster. Not sure why people think he'd ruin his career by going there.
This times 1000. They have a good gm and front office, potential franchise QB, and a lot of young weapons on offense. Of all the NFL jobs likely to come open this offseason it's the most attractive.
LOL. Going to the Browns won't destroy his career, even if he doesn't win a game.
I'm glad you think Campbell is an elite coach
He and his family love it here in Ames. He knows hes building something special here. Hes not going anywhere. Have you ever been to Cleveland?

You realize he's from that area right? You speak like what you're saying is fact, when indeed it isn't.
It's probably too early to call him anan elite coach. He is without question an elite candidate for a big time college or NFL job. He's young, has a good skill set, and has a good looking resume.
My larger point is that even if he goes to Cleveland and falls on his face it's not a career killer. Take a look at the last several coaches who tested the NFL waters and failed and see where they are now. Compare that to guys who failed to successfully transition from a smaller school to an elite college job and it's evident that going to Cleveland is a much smaller career risk than going to OSU or ND.
"Learn not to stay so long." After Campbell tells him how much he's learned from him. Basically telling him not to keep coaching until you're almost 80.You can also hear Synder say "Try not to stay so long"
Do you think Campbell is the best coach in the state?
It depends on what you are asking. If you are picking one guy to be the head of your program right now going forward there's no question he's the best guy. If you are looking at an overall resume there is no question he's not as accomplished as Ferentz.
