From 247 Sports.....Ga is currently the top landing spot for him unless they get outbid. Think about that for a moment. While that may have been going on for years, now it is standard operating procedure in the open.,
Say goodbye to college fottball as we have known it.

what are you talking about
The second post contains a link to the other thread on the topic. Technically it should be on the Big 12 board, but often since it concerns football people will start them on football as well. That is why it is good to check both boards for threads on the topic before starting a new thread.

It's no big deal, though.

In the athletic dept official release about him being in the portal, they mention something about providing opportunity for NIL. Wonder if they sense he's gone so they put that in there to make it look like to their fans that they were doing everything they could to convince him to stay? Or they heard that's why he was leaving to another bidder? Probably none of these assumptions actually.
On a side note, those that are commenting on the OU boards, have they said much at all about him following Riley to USC?

There was an article on Heartland College Sports with a quote from a Texas prep player who committed to OU over UT. The gist of his quote was, Texas's recruiting pitch to him was all about how he could promote himself and make the most money on his NIL if he went there. Veneble's pitch for OU to him was, come here and get ready for the next level and win a national title. The recruit said the decision was easy. He told the Texas recruiter, "but what are you doing to fix the program?" He went on to say that high school/college athletes basing their decisions off short term money are fooling themselves. The real money is in the long run with the programs that build you as a player, leader, and educated human being. The money you'll make from those things will dwarf the college cash

The article linking him to UCLA....now that would be fun. See what he does against his former coach when they play USC. Priceless.

Talk about a great story line. The transfer free for all is going to lead to some great narratives.

Man, in a move to the SEC, Oklahoma only lost:
- A generational coach and future college hall of famer in Lincoln Riley
- A young QB prodigy in Caleb Williams
- about 10-15 lost commitments and other current guys transferring

Hope it was worth it guys!!
