there was the sack, sack, blocked punt possession
I'd rank it Oline, SBR, RBs, WRs in terms of least to most effective.

Lot of blame to spread around, but Sam missed wide open WR on last series. And how do you not at least throw one up on last play?

Oline actually opened up plenty of running lanes in the game. They just got gassed at the end because they were so busy false starting

I think it's SR. On the play that AL dropped the pass on 3rd and goal he was wide open coming across the middle. SR didn't throw the ball until AL stopped, turned around and came back.

I just don't think SR see's open receivers fast enough. His decisions are too slow. Just my opinion, and I'm not trying to trash on a player because I don't like that at all. But that's what I'm seeing.

The thing is Sam refuses to throw the ball unless the receiver is WIDE open.. In division 1 football, that does not happen unless you have a phenomenal scheme.

I've been thinking the same thing that the commentator was saying today(since the 2nd half of Iowa)....get Lazard and move him around more instead of on the absolute farest perimeter position away from Richardson.

At least Mongo decided to use a few different formations that had Bundrage singled up instead of just Lazard on every play.

Sam had all day, most plays. He also played well, most plays. He has a knack to fold when it counts though: throwing a dart to a wide open Wesley in OT2 -- put some freakin air under it!!!

And of course the "Sammy sack", which is when a QB takes a sack on the last play of the game without throwing the ball to give a WR a chance to make a play. This unfortunately has happened to Sammy more than once, which is why it's named after him.

It's the coaching. The players were bad tonight, but they were in no way prepared. They looked unmotivated and uninspired.

At some point we have to blame the CEO's of this corporation, which is the coaching. We are getting the same returns on investment as the last 3 years. ThE problem is we invested in a new SEZ and the fan base is loyal, which makes the number crunchers not give a damn. Full seats means success to this program. I have season tickets and never miss a game either, it makes it tough that our AD sees numbers of butts in the seats as A successful season. I think it's a catch 22.

Sam sucks. The line can't run block. The receivers don't live up to expectation. Boo.

Man I thought Sam played better today but I'm pretty sure they're going to start calling those sack yourself things Sammy's. Oline was just destroyed by that D-line in pass rush so many times. I didn't notice Oni so he probably played well, the rest.. woof.
