CF is getting its own beer

If this is coming out before or during football season, then I think it needs to be a good tailgating beer, so something on the lighter side that can be consumed in large amounts. So I am thinking something along the lines of a pilsner, wheat, Belgian style, or even a lighter IPA.

That's a good idea, and goes with cardinal to some extent.

And as others have said, you can make one simple enough the Bushwater crowd will drink it, but with the right hops the snob crowd will appreciate it.

this would be perfect. I hate the IPA's and half of the microbrew beers out there are IPAs. Maybe something dark and creamy.

Amber ales are my favorite like the Red Rambler from Peacetree. I don't understand the fascination of seeing how bitter one can make an IPA by jamming it full of hops. Plus you get to tie in Cyclone Red or Cardinal name.

Or given the time of year, a marzen could be good as well.

I'll add another vote for 'not an IPA'. Not that i don't enjoy a good IPA, but ******* everyone is pumping out far too many IPAs right now.
