Great news! Looks like we have a couple potential great ones coming in at this weight. Other than Andrew Long in 2010, how long has it been since we had an All-American at the lightest weight? 25 years? Longer?
There’s a name I haven’t heard/thought of in awhile…..

Earl Hall in 2014 was probably the last.

I could be forgetting somebody but I'm pretty sure Fanthorpe and Cody Sanderson got their AAs at 133. If I'm right on that, then we're going back to Jason Nurre at 118 in 1996 which, depressingly, is pushing 30 years ago.

Edit...thought Earl Hall was at 133.

Earl's first AA was at 125 before he moved up to 133 and won another.

I think Long was a freshman, taking 2nd.
How good was he?

Why did he drop in Flo rankings from 4 to 14? I don’t think he wrestles a state tournament, which I think is weird

Wondered the same thing. Couldn’t find a recent bad loss for him. Maybe just inactivity/lack of results?

I’m still seeing him at 4. Rankings updated 2/2. Is there a more recent one?
