After hearing about Circa and its Stadium Swim pool many times here on the multiple CF podcasts, I felt it was about time my wife and I gave it a shot for our annual fall 3-day weekend getaway during the college football season. Our dates our Sept 29th - Oct 2nd, which is the weekend of the Oklahoma away game. We typically go during an ISU away game weekend approximately around those dates for the prime college football and weather combo. We've always stayed in the past at pretty decent hotels on the main strip due to their niceness, pool quality and location, but are willing to give Circa a try due to how new and unique it is, even though we aren't necessarily the biggest fans of the old Vegas strip. Since the old strip can get a bit dicey and scurvy for our liking, we'll likely stick within Circa for most everything outside of taking an Uber to the main strip for a show or dinner one night. Its worth noting that our favorite part about Vegas is lounging by the pools pretty much all day and making our sports bets, hence why Circa is appealing. Due to the time change, we are usually up early and at pool around pool opening so that we can usually get some of their free chairs and so that we have spots for the 11 am CT round of games. Anyway, didn't know if anyone had any good advice for us both for Stadium Swim or Circa in general? Also, anyone know what they allow you to bring into the pool? Can you bring any outside drink or even a water bottle? It is surprisingly hard to find any info on their website for this. Would love to hear from someone with first-hand experience. Thanks ahead of time for anyone's help.

LA LA Land
I stayed w fam at Golden Nugget (recently renovated, pretty nice) but we ended up spending just as much time across the street at Circa.

As a sports fan and someone who thinks Vegas is overpriced (I live in LA and even that is very cheap food/drink compared to the strip) I think Circa would be my only choice quite easily.

I’m a big nba fan and it was really fun to place some bets on WCF and watch on the largest screen I’ve seen in my life.

When is the last time you’ve been to the old downtown strip? It’s not as scurvy as it used to be. They’ve done a lot to make it a much better environment. Circa hotel is nice. Their Sportsbook is phenomenal.

Couple years ago. Yes, it has drastically improved, so you are right. Just still just not what we are looking for.

old strip? downtown is a better stay, in all possible ways. unless, possibly, it's your first time in town.

Have been there several times, and find it as my favorite spot in Vegas. Watching football as the sun goes down in a pool, overlooking Vegas with a drink in hand is heaven. I typically go with about 6-8 though, which brings costs down pretty good. Have not stayed at the hotel, but will on my next trip.

A few things to watch out for:
You are wedged between a giant video board and a sky scraper at 100 degree heat. Watch your booze, dehydration hits harder.

It is expensive and everything has a cost. You cannot bring outside food and beverage. They’ll probably let you bring a water bottle.

Look into reserving loungers asap or well in advance. Every seat has a charge. If I remember right, you have to pay by the hour too.

You might have one person puke in the pool over the course of the weekend. They shut it all down for about a half hour.

Use stairways to enter/exit pool. They will give you grief for climbing out the sides.

Blackjack Tables are 25 a hand

All in all one of my fave activities in Vegas and best college football gamewatch experience I’ve had.

I have been to Stadium Swim 3 times, It is my absolute favorite place on earth.

Tip 1: Reserve 2 lower day beds if its you and your wife, or reserve a water couch if you are going to have more than 4 people in your group. You will have to spend $500 at the pool but you will easily cover that by your admission fee, Drinks at the pool, and lunch. (get the chicken tender basket). you will also get a private server who will run food and bev to you so that you dont have to get out of the pool and wait in the lines.

Tip 2: Get there early, the pool has a pretty thorough security check, When we got to the pool we waited 20 minutes in line.
