2014: 18-5 (6-5 Big 12) and they had just lost 102-77 at West Virginia. They went on to win five of the last seven, win the Big 12 tournament, and make the Sweet Sixteen.
2015: 17-6 (7-4) and they had just lost at Oklahoma 94-83. They went on to win five of the last seven, win the Big 12 tournament, and unfortunately the NCAA had to cancel the tournament the night before our game against UAB so we'll never know how that would've gone.
2016: 17-7 (6-5) and they just lost at Texas Tech 85-82 in OT without Jameel McKay. Jameel likely returns Saturday.
That 2014 Sweet Sixteen team finished 11-7 in the conference and tied for third in the Big 12. I know we all had hopes of winning the Big 12, and it's frustrating, but we've seen this before. Even a 10-8 record in the Big 12 wouldn't kill our chances. It's all about being hot at the right time.
