My fiancé just got a new desktop computer and is having trouble with her internet settings. She can use most internet sites, but sites with a log in (facebook, email, etc) don't work. Is there a setting with her firewall or anti-virus that can be changed? It is a new HP desktop with Windows 8 and Norton Anti-Virus. Thanks In Advance!

How do they 'not work'? Is permission denied? Do they not load? What is the browser being used? Does it happen on another browser?
It doesn't work in Internet Explorer or Mozilla. When she types the address in it says "page can not be displayed" and the pages don't load at all.
Hate to be "that guy" but I bet a million bucks she's not typing it right. Google for it and then bookmark the new link, THEN login.
