It feels like we went hard for guys with upside and some eligibility beyond this year rather than going after 4th or 5th year guys. I am 100% cool with that.

This guy and Paveletzke are going to run the Big 12 all hair team. Love it.
I think that's the way to do it going forward. The new transfer rules make you sit out the 2nd time you transfer. So, it's unlikely these guys would be poached for NIL deals from some other school.
We also finally have some roster stability. I don't think the staff likes replacing 8-9 guys every year. As it stand now, we'll be losing 3 seniors (Jones, Ward and King) and replacing them with 3 freshman. Inevitably we'll probably have 2-3 guys transfer out leaving us with 2-3 openings for transfers next year which is about perfect.
I’m cool with that and I’m also cool with the 1 year guys if it fills a need.
Feeling real good about these 7 new guys, not seeing a weakness outside of a major post threat but guards getting to the rim is just as effective. Is this the year we aren't the worst FT shooting team in B12?

True, as a poster mentioned previously. There is no 'weather shock' from being from somewhere south, FL, etc.

If we can somehow next season duplicate our defensive prowess from the past 2 years...it could be a very special year.
Yeah replacing nearly all of roster every year isn't a long term plan for success. Would like some guys we can really get to know.
