Sure injuries would hurt us at running back next season. But, the o line will be a strength for years. Pretty easy to sell running backs next year when they visit and see the o lineman. It will be mentioned over and over to recruits. Who wouldn't want to be a running back here with the history of running backs running for big yards in CMC's system. We have a QB who would strap it up tighter and be a serviceable back in a pinch.
Hard to image we could bring in as good of a back as the 2 true freshman that played last fall. I'd guess we sign one in 18 then one prep and one Juco in 19. CMC is in a position to swing for the fences on RB recruits over the next two years because of the young backs he has now.
I really look forward to seeing the offers Coach Lou Ayeni makes and who he goes after. I'm looking for him to snag a great one from SEC territory.

If that's true, it is so Pollard-like. Just celebrate a great class, don't need to stretch like that to create hype. I know it's only a poster/tweet, but some times the stuff we send out from the athletic department is cringe-worthy.
Fully agree. Really glad to see the numbers committed to the OL and DL, everything starts up front. Get Manning plenty of talent and competition for playing time, establish a consistent running game with OL, and just watch how attractive we can become for highly regarded RB's.
Can't wait to see the young high school OL from the first two Campbell classes develop into contributors, and love to see how they are choosing to build the program. Hope they keep getting 4-5 high school OL in every class. And just think of who they can start to target in recruiting when they can sell a winning program that proves it can get guys into the NFL.
To paraphrase him at the recruiting party, Fans are going to be really excited to see the running backs we have on the board for 2018.

For those of us fans that are slow, like me, I found the list...http://www.cyclones.com/signingday/football/3/Do we have a final list (so far) of all the signees, someone could put up here, or point us to; and maybe some of the misses as well. Thx.
A program like Iowa State just isnt going to have 2 deep caliber RBs 4 deep on the depth chart. If our 4th RB is getting significant playing time and carries we have a problem. Injuries happen, and when they focus on one position it hurts. It will be awesome someday when we can say "ok, 3rd guy went down, next guy in" but we just arent there yet. Point is we have a year to find our next 5th guy, if 4 isnt enough for '17 then 5 or 6 wouldnt have been either because those top 3 plus JoelDozer LannRaming better get every carry. (Ok mix in and end around to Ryen or Jones.)
