And Anderson didn’t, and Kysen lost to him.

Going to be a tough road. Can he do it, absolutely. Would I pick it, no way.
He has wrestled all the Big 12 guys close. Needs to attack more.

Hasn't seen Poulin, Surtin, Jordan and Volk

All Kysen has to do is place his projected seed (6th). If he places 7th he is almost a lock to get an at-large. He may even get one by getting 8th.

I wouldn't say anything at 125 this year is a lock, i like his chances, but i'm gonna bet some higher ranked guys don't earn auto bids, hope I'm wrong!

Figs is probably the biggest name on there. I think he was dealing with early season injuries and struggled at times

If he gets a ranked win at Big 12’s I like his chances.

If he goes 0-2 it doesn’t look good.

Figs might win the Pac 12

It will be interesting with 6 at-large bids. Let’s not forget that Kysen is still capable of beating a kid like Spratley who could be getting the 1 or 2 seed. Kysen just has to finish his shots and not give up on himself. Can he run the whole tournament? Doubtful. But could he make the semi finals or even finals? I’d say yes

I'd agree, if he makes the finals, he'll gets in.

Chase straw would be pissed.

That was the last year of true placing matches.

There were a couple of administrative screw-ups in 2019 and 2020, so the coaches decided to get rid of them starting in 2021.

This is just a Big 12 thing right? Makes absolutely no sense to me.
