Boulder, Colo. — Alison Lacey scored 11 of her 27 points in the second overtime and Iowa State snapped No. 23 Colorado’s 11-game winning streak with an 84-77 win over the Buffaloes on Sunday.

The Cyclones (12-3, 1-1 Big 12) quickly fell behind by five points in the second overtime before Lacey sank consecutive 3s, the second one giving Iowa State a 77-76 lead.

After Colorado (12-3, 1-1) tied it on a free throw by Jackie McFarland, who led the Buffs with 28 points, Lacey put the Cyclones ahead for good 80-77 with a 3-pointer from the right elbow with 1:17 left.

Kelsey Bolte added 21 points for the Cyclones, including a key 3-pointer in the first overtime that gave Iowa State a four-point lead before the Buffs fought back to force a second overtime.

The game was tied at 61 after regulation and at 69 after the first extra period.

This was the first double-overtime women’s game at the Coors Events Center, and it looked like Colorado would prevail when.........
