When I was still behind the bar at el Bait Shop, we still sold a ton of Schild Brau. Always sell a ton of their Root Beer too.

Millstream has always been better from the tap than from the bottle. Their new bottling maching has made a slight difference in the taste of the bottled beer, but I hear the bottled beer is still going through too much hot/cold damage at the hands of the local distributors.

Doesn't Backpocket still have a microbrewery in Dubuque? I know the one in CR closed after much abuse from those who worked there.

Finally found a listing for the brewery that is for sale. This listing says that the restaurant is also for sale (which I don't believe is true, however I know the current owners hope to keep the restaurant closely associated with the brewery). Anyhow, a relatively inexpensive $2,375,000 buys it. Believe that the $231k+ 'cash flow' is a relatively low estimate of their annual profit.

Ahh... in the sales PDF, "The Selling Price is $875,000 for the business and $1,500,000 for the real estate including all assets as shown on the asset list." The $231k+ is estimated annual owner profit.

In the same vein, someone posted in one of the Iowa craft beer crews on Facebook that they had purchased the Madhouse space and were looking to sell. Looked like the barrels were still in the building. Don't know if they're empty or just hanging out getting all sour and such.
