Utah Valley brings in a pair of ranked wrestlers at 184/197.

Pitt will bring in a tough squad (ranked at every weight aside from 157) that wrestles Oklahoma State at home on Friday, so that throws a little wrinkle into this one.

Friday should be a comfortable win, Sunday could be a tight contest.

Questions for me would be: 1. Do we see Frost? 2. Do we see Swiderski?

Should be a fun weekend!

What's Utah Valley have? Anyone respectable at all? I haven't dug in deep enough yet.

They are ranked at 184 and 197. Their 197 is the short stocky guy that just stalled against Yonger last year to make the matches closer than they should've been.

Oh I remember that guy. Ha! What a little weasel. Be nice if we could take a step at that weight and get a win there.

Couple of chances for avenged losses in the Pitt dual.

Specifically Redding at 149 (if he goes), Gaitan at 174 (could really used a higher ranked win) and Feldkamp at 184 (probably going to be a lot of back points in that one).

Matches I am most looking forward to are

Broderson/Bockman (UVU)
Echemendia/Matthews (Pitt)
Gaitan/Augustine (Pitt)
Feldkamp/Heller (Pitt)
Yonger/Pitzer (Pitt)

Edit: I probably also shouldn’t discount how good of a match up Carr/Heller is being a top 10 bout.

1) I would think that would entirely depend on him and if he has done the little things right since this last weekend

2) Would love to see Casey go this weekend to get back into it but also want to make sure he is 100% before seeing him.

I am bummed I can't make the Pitt dual. I signed up to coach my daughters bball team and we have a game on Sunday. Unless I have any takers that want to take my spot? I don't know why I always do this to myself, but I sign up for these things and never played organized bball other than a pick game at State Gym at ISU.

Hoping the snow doesn't impact my ability to get to the UVU dual. Roads could be a bit dicey Friday
Yeah... I think we are pulling the plug on Friday night. The better half has corporate showing up tomorrow so we can't take off any earlier. Plus will have to keep bedding down the cattle.

Anyone want a set of tickets section 113 row 9 seats 1-2 let me know will transfer. Also will transfer parking pass. Free for the taking.

I might. My parents talked about coming but not sure now with the weather. Same section and row too, we're in seats 7-8. I'll get back if they are able.

don't discount what you are doing - more parents should take the opportunity to be involved.
add to that the memories your making with your daughter

I'll second this. I "missed out" on some things for the sake of coaching my son, but I wouldn't trade the memories we made or the talks we had driving to and from practices and games. Time goes incredibly fast. Take in every minute that they're willing to spend with you.

I'm in a similar boat for Sunday with a kids event and missing the Pitt dual. My young daughter's very first swim meet finishes up on Sunday. She's really excited and I'm really excited to watch her. We don't have to motivate her at all. It's like a switch flips and she just comes alight when she's in the water.
