F KU and especially Old Roy Boy

I remember everyone thought Nick Collison and Kirk Hinrich were coming to Ames and then Floyd left and Roy Boy scooped them up. I think Hinrich was set on ISU, but Collison still had some convincing as a HS Junior. Can you imagine those two with Fizer and Tinsley . . . . .

If I remember right, Hinrich was headed to ISU until Floyd left. If Hinrich came here, then likely no Tinsley.

Doubt we have either of those guys if Heinrich and Collison were on the roster. I'll take Fizer and Tinsley since we kicked KU's ass from 1999-2001.

Yeah they weren't going to be on the same team.

I don't recall Collison being that close to coming to ISU...pretty sure he was going to KU pretty early.

I saw his junior and senior year teams at the state tournament. They were a monster.

As far as Collison goes, not that I’m aware of. Nick’s parents were in Iowa Falls for many years after he graduated high school and his younger brother Michael graduated from Iowa Falls in the late 2000’s.
