Public service announcement for those who could use a fitness jump start before the holidays. Daylight saving time is just over a week away (Nov 6th). Each year I take a pretty hard charge at the gym thanks to DST. With the time change, I find it easy to be up early that week and get workouts in before the work day begins. As with anything else, repetition for a week leads to a habit.

I tend to not maintain my self as well in the summer months, so it's pretty critical for me to follow through on this each year. By the time the holidays hit I find myself in pretty decent shape, as opposed to how holiday eating could get me deeper in the fitness hole. Hopefully I will be down 7-10 pounds by Thanksgiving.
