A divide is growing in the Wizarding World of Europe in the late 1920s. For over 100 years there has been peace between the wizarding community and the No-majs, or non-magic folk. However, a powerful dark wizard, Gellert Grindelwald, has been gaining followers. He aims to expose the wizarding world for all to see, and to allow pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings. It is up to the innocents to put a stop to Grindelwald's evil plan, to keep the wizarding world a secret, and avoid an all out war between the magical and non-magical communities.
The Mafia:
Gellert Grindelwald - The head of the mafia, and considered to be one of the most dangerous and powerful dark wizards of all time. He will have one investigation and one instakill. However, due to a blood pact that he made with Dumbledore, if he attempts to instakill Dumbledore this will be unsuccessful.
Credence Barebone - A wizard who repressed his powers as a child and developed a dark parasitic force, known as an Obscurus. While most Obscurials die before their 10th birthday, Credence survived into adulthood due to his incredible power. Every third night his obscurus will be unleashed, killing a random innocent.
Gunnar Grimmson - Dark wizard, bounty hunter, and follower of Grindelwald. He will have one instakill.
The rest of the mafia will be named characters but do not have any special powers.
The Innocents:
Newt Scamander - He is the protagonist in the films, and the author of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". The relationships that he has built with his magical creatures will allow him to be a "Jack of all trades". He will have the power to either investigate, kill, or protect each night. He cannot use the same power in back to back nights. Newt will also start with the bowtruckle on the first day.
Tina Goldstein - Tina was dismissed from her position as an Auror for assaulting Mary Lou Barebone, who was beating her adopted son, Credence. Despite being dismissed from this position, she still spends time investigating criminals. She will have the power to investigate every other night.
Queenie Goldstein - She is a Legilimens, someone able to extract feelings and memories from another's mind. Because she can read minds, she will have the power to investigate a player's role each night. However, on the fifth night she will become mafia. It will be up to her to choose if she wants to share her investigations prior to the 5th night to benefit the innos, or to save her information for the mafia.
Nicholas Flamel - Famed alchemist who became immortal with the Sorcerer's Stone. He will be immune from mafia hits through night 5, but he can be killed via lynching or instakills. He will also serve as the doctor, as he can save one person each night with his Elixer of Life.
Albus Dumbledore - Wizard who is considered to be one of the most powerful of all time, and would later become the Headmaster of Hogwarts. He will have one instakill and one investigation. However, due to a blood pact that he made, if he attempts to instakill Grindelwald it will be unsuccessful.
Jacob Kowalski - No-maj and baker. He is in love with Queenie. He has no special powers in the game, but people seem to like him.
The rest of the innos will have named character roles but will not have any special powers in the game.
**Special Item** - Bowtruckle - A small magical beast that can hide in your pocket and has the ability to pick locks. This will save you from a potential mafia hit during the night. The bowtruckle will start with Newt on the first day and then must be passed to another player each day. If you receive the bowtruckle, you will not know who passed it to you.
