Okay did anyone see the crazy middle aged guys get into a tiffy towards the end of the game?

It started at the top of section P when old man Nebraska who was sitting in the student sections decided the game was in hand and got chirpy, He was yelling and screaming about how almighty HIS cornhuskers are, and that they would accept transfer students blah blah blah....Then "to old to be sitting in the student section" cyclone fan asks him to shut his pie hole and they go back and forth. They both decide to go home around the same time and end up "wrestling" in the aisle about 8 rows up, from a top view it looked like a lot of lady like pushing and shoving and cylone fan may have taken something from Neb fan because Neb fan was lying on top of cyclone fan who was curled up in the fetal position. Did anybody get a better view of what was going down?

It was a sad display of several guys who put too much stock and emotion in how college kids play football. The students were yelling at them "Hey, don't you know your acting my age."

Where are these sections in the stadium? I am in the band so don't really know. My parents mentioned to me that there was a fight in the west stands close to halftime between a BIG nebraska fan and some isu fans. Of course there was no security around and none ever came even after people went to get them...

Section P is the student section in the balcony and Section O is mid field on the East side. There was an Ames PD standing at the bottom of the section until he saw something going down and must have not felt like working. Because he disappeared as things were starting to heat up.

I was sitting in that general area, but only heard the Neb fan yelling and being way too cocky. I was too depressed at that moment to say anything back. I must have left right before the wrestling took place. FWIW, there were a couple of cops in that section, at the top, but they were escorting some kids out who had alcohol in the game and never came back.

There was a Nebraska fan decked out in a sweet Nebraska Starter jacket standing in front of us the entire game. When Iowa State fumbled and lost that kick return on the 4th quarter, he jumped up and screamed "YEAH! Thats how you play defense!" Somewhat drunk and pissed off at how we were playing, I let him know that it was a special teams play.

5 minutes later he turned around and yelled some obscenitys at my roommate, and tried to justify how it was a "defensive" play. Then he turned around and told his redneck friends that he was going to slap those peckerheads behind him. We could do nothing but laugh.

Yes, two, old, fat guys who are old enough to know better. Both ISU and Neb fans were yelling at them to knock it off and leave. My 10-yr old son got scared and wanted to leave. Just a very sad situation all around.

Also, someone went to get security and couldn't find anyone. No security around for the last 3-4 minutes of the game. Apparently, they all head for the gates and the field. This was a situation that could have turned into an all-out brawl as there was no one who could have stopped things.

There was an actual fist fight near the top of Section M right before halftime. No clue what was said, but the result was and ISU fan and kNU fan being escorted out of the section. These two were probably in their early thirties.

.....yeah, must be chizik...... stupid comment........

agree. We need Chizik to provide security out of his pocket or something, jesus christ.

I was right in front of that idiot who was pathetic drunk (I work security at a club/bar so I am used to witnessing drunken morons.) He kept saying that Nebraska would accept transfers after the game but would only accept 1 credit for P.E. The guy's heckling was nothing close to funny even for my Nebraska buddy (who was sitting right next to me.) He turned to him and told him to stop making their team look bad. The guy just never shut up and had like 3 friends behind him who somehow thought he was a riot. I never saw a scuffle but there was an older gentleman to the guy's and my left who came up to him and told him to shut his mouth. But we left a little early (yeah I know you can get on me for that) and I told him to enjoy their LONG basketball season this year. So I never saw a physical altercation.
