It was a great season.

Lots of wins. Some huge wins in there too.
You could see the team come together and improve through Dec & Jan.
Had a chance at the regular season title.
Won the conf tournament in KC and it wasn't close.

Saw almost(?) everyone step up despite a struggle here or there.

Super easy to root for these guys, win or lose - no prima donnas, me-firsts, or ball hogs. Kinda what you want your kids to get out of participating in sports.

Next year should be great too. I will really miss Rob Jones though.

I know, I know, rankings don't mean diddly

Has ISU MBB ever been ranked #1 for even a single week during a season? Not to jinx the whole season or anything, but I could see where that could potential occur next season.

I'm thinking the answer is no. Only because I think I would have heard about it at some point by now.
We have never even received a first place vote

How we were 6 in that AP poll is incredible given that anyone paying attention knew ISU-MSU was the title game played two rounds too early.
I could be wrong but I'm almost positive the final AP poll was before the tournament back then and the final coaches was after. Maybe more incredible is that team wasnt even ranked until February.

Pretty sure our #4 AP ranking this year is our highest ever and highest coaches ranking is actually #2 in 2015-2016 season

They were very easy to get behind and support.

They checked all sorts of boxes for me as a fan from how they played to how the conducted themselves and it was fun to watch a team experience the success as a result.
