Lauren Mansfield, a player who I have forgotten about until now, has been named to the Australian Opals Squad, and she has a chance to play and earn a spot in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

I see yhat Huskers' Kelsey Griffin has become a naturalized citizen.

Lauren is one of my favorite all-time Clones. She is just a gritty smart player at over 5'6". Saved us when guards were in short supply. I think she was co-captain and started nearly all the games in her two year ISU history. Great person.

Makes sense, Alaskan gal plays college in Nebraska and moves to Australia. Like who won't. :smile:

Liked her a lot as a collegiate at Nebraska.

I see also Lauren Jackson retired today. I had a chance to watch her playing when Seattle played the Lynx. It would be awesome to see her playing in her prime vs Griner, EDD, etc.
