Looked just like a recreation of Kenny Chery's bucket (space creation and all) that ended the Baylor game in Waco...except this time the Clones were on the shooting/winning side.

Awesome play by Monte

Monte didn't extend the whole arm, but I did think about that shot as well.

Ronnie Virgil inbound play with under 3 seconds left. Minnesota player threw an inbound pass that hit the scoreboard giving us the ball. Under their basket the inbound pass went to "instant offense" and he tapped it in for the win. Late 80's I would guess.

I was at that game. It was AWESOME! A Minnesota lady yelled at me earlier in the game for cheering to loud, I ignored her and kept cheering.

****! So you're telling me that this last hour and a half of searching was for nothing!? Any idea who I might ask? I usually don't get much into statistics, but this one struck me as pretty amazing and now I'm really curious.

The latest a shot can leave a shooters hand is 0.1, right, so that's what the stat sheet will say.

Id call Elias Sports Bureau or stats.com. they provide most of the stats for games.

It was 1992 what we're talking about. Ron Virgil certainly was long gone then. There might have been another close one with the Gophers earlier in the Orr era. Cyclone Classics has the final minute.

But if a shot went up with 8 seconds and went in with 7 seconds, wouldn't the stat sheet say the basket was scored with 7 seconds?

I am sure they are referring to the game in 1982 when they won in overtime by 2 points against Minnesota. They crushed Minnesota in 1992. ISU won by 34 points.

I can't ever remember the Clones never having a lead in the game and then winning the game after the time had expired with the shot in the air....

Buzzer beaters Yes but Not trailing for the whole game and still winning the game....this game is what makes legends out of players teams and Head Coaches...Way 2 go Cyclones.
