My one challenge in watching this is that my wife hates Costner. Says he is a non-actor. Not sure why, but he gets on her nerves in a big way.

We saw Costner checking out of a hotel near San Diego when he was filming the Coast Guard movie with Ashton Kutchner (sp). He was bigger than I thought and had my wife and the other women swooning. I agree he's not a great actor, might be a better singer.

I have to agree. he plays the same person in every movie. Bill will completely out act him. but K C funded it so he gets to play Anse.

Do I understand correctly, it looks more like a Drama/Movie starring Costner, and not a typical historical documentary aka Ken Burns 'The Civil War'.

If it's more like a dramatic movie, I'm probably gonna be disappointed.
