Hey fellow Cyclones,
Joe Hadachek, head football coach at Union High School in La Porte City, is a finalist for the US Cellular "Most Valuable Coach" award given to the top HS football coach in the country, on and off the field. Joe is a Dysart, Iowa native and spend a few years as an assistant football coach at Drake and as the head coach of Buena Vista University before moving back to Dysart take taking the reigns of his alma mater, Union High School. You may have heard of Joe if you are familiar with Advocare, as well.
Joe isn't just a coach in the community, but a leader. He is looked up to by everyone in the community as a role model to our young people and as someone who does what is needed to give our kids every opportunity to succeed. He brought youth football (3rd grade and up) to the community, opened Joe's Gym in both La Porte City and Dysart, and donated a major part of the funds needed to completely revamp the High School weight room.
If you could please take a minute to vote for a fellow Iowan, help Union High School win $5000, and send Joe to the UA All-American Game to be honored on ESPN, that'd be awesome. He is currently in 3rd place and we could use some extra votes as the other coaches are from huge communities, unlike Joe from small town, Iowa.
