I was a huge Dekkers fan. I thought he was going to be one of the best ISU QBs we’ve ever had. Will still root for him…. it’s not like he killed anyone. Sure he’s a great kid who made a dumb mistake.

I think this is weird. He is too old to be doing this, and is stealing an opportunity from a young 18 or 19 year old that could actually still make a name for themselves. I think he should've tried out for one of the semi pro leagues and if he failed, time to hit the workforce
Minnesota just got a new indoor football team, too - MN Myth. They don't appear to be playing Council Bluffs, though. Myth are playing in Target Center.
I also just realized that the AFL is relaunching, but instead of bringing the Barnstormers in they're doing a Council Bluffs team and calling it the "Iowa Rampage".
Tim Brown is starting an indoor league too.

Seemed like a good kid who ****** up. Glad he's getting another chance to play the game.
There have been a lot of rumors that he wasn't a very good teammate prior to this. You could certainly see evidence of it in his sideline and on-field demeanor in '22.
I talked to a guy last week who’s involved with the Waterloo team. I have no idea if it will work but that team I think has some of right people in there in some capacity to give it a college try.
It is awful but Valkyrie was already taken for the shortlived Lingerie Football League team that also played at Target Center. Thankfully no 300# linemen in that league.
Just awful.

Just to keep us fully derailed, this is what I think of everytime I hear Myth (from The Muppet Movie):

I wonder how he can play Juco. I Am pretty sure if you are on a team for 2 years before you get to the Juco you are ineligible to play at that level. Was he technically not on the team last year even though he was on the roster?
He was on the roster. Still is if you look at the 2023 team. And was actually going to be a RS Junior last year which I forgot, so he was on the team for 3 years.
Not totally sure how he can play JuCo based on their eligibility rules
