I feel like there's a bit of an overestimate of just how good ISU is and under of Iowa as it sounds like they were sloppier last week and have more improvement to make.

I am still going with my prediction I made on Labor Day on this site…. ISU 16-13…. which I see CW has now also predicted…. he sees my wisdom!

However, if I HAD to bet my house, I think I’d have to take Iowa. My mind keeps going back to the McNamara vs Becht duel. I love Becht, but it’s an experienced senior going up against a RS Freshmen with one game under his belt.

And also…. if I lose my house then, at least ISU will have won! I can just go live in a van down by the river and be happy!

Being a state fan for 49 years. It’s really hard for me to buy into us beating Iowa. Even when we are better than them something seems to go wrong. I’ll take state though today 17-13

I think ISU will play some really good ball toward the end of the season but we'll see some ups and downs this first month and today may be one of the downs.

If ISU pulls it off it will be met with all sorts of 'gave the game away, ISU only plays for one game' takes from Hok fans because they're still stuck in 1998.

I do know this.... if ISU pulls this out today... that is REALLY bad news for Iowa. Iowa has all the advantages going into this game for the most part. ISU is EXTREMELY young all over the field.... especially at QB- the most important position on the field. I think if ISU wins this one, they might just go on a winning streak in this series.
