When he mentioned a run for weight, made me think maybe 157 next yr? No idea what PJ is weighing now or projected for next season TBH.

PJ is built but height is not his specialty. So I would guess 149 is where he will be. CS up to 57, CC up to 65. MJ stays 74 Naak 84. Unless those two feel they can move up and we find a 74.

I know we want all our studs in the same lineup, but I think it's more likely that we have one AA-level guy that just isn't in the lineup (and maybe taking a RS year), as opposed to bumping a bunch of guys up to non-optimal weights. Good problem to have with the right coaching staff to solve it.

More likely MJ move down than up. Small 174-pounder.

I dont see a lot of bumping up weights in our roster. Guys like Chittum, MJ, Naak, etc. are just not big enough to move up from current weights. Casey for sure could be a 157 and both him and Chittum have redshirts to play with. Think we're pretty locked in at 7 weights at this point.

141 - Ech
149/157 - combo of Swiderski/Chittum/Paniro
174 - MJ
184 - Naak
285 - Yonger

The other three you're hunting portal upgrades, or in house option are...

125 - Kysen, Perryman, any shot Meza can make 125 for year as true freshman?
165 - Euton, Rojas if he finally makes the cut down
197 - Villaescusa, Hagarty, Bartlet as a true freshman

In Dresser interview (post Session 3?), he said Gaitan needed to bulk up (or words to that effect) to better fit the 174 class.

I disagree. Assuming Ech was only 17 his senior yr of hs (2019-2020), he is at least 21 yrs today so I am betting his body is done growing. Him going down to 41 was a relatively easy cut from I hear. Having said that, when it comes to freestyle I see him competing at 66 kg (145.5 pounds) because there is no way he is making 60 kg (132.25 pounds).

That's what I thought. A guy this age should be more capable of maintaining. If he goes up to 49 it just adds to an already serious log jam with PJ back in the mix.
