A few toss up matches in there. Granted...we hardly ever win the toss up match, but they are there.

Weights I have circled:

- 141
- 165
- 174
- 197

If Stoll isn't ready to go, add HWT to that list.

Iowa definitely wins 125, 149, 157 and 184, unless Downey can go at 184. With Clark out, we should definitely win at 133.

I don't care if the coaches go all crazy with this one to create favorable matchups. Larson at 125, Simmons or Boston at 133, Hall at 141, Downey at 197. Screw it, why not?

With Clark and Stoll out, IF we can keep it relatively close at 125 and 149, meaning nothing more than a major, and IF Downey is a go, we can win this dual.

That said, winning only one match would not surprise me.

We can win the dual but a lot would have to go our way. If we were to win this is how I see us doing it. To be clear, this isn't my prediction, just what would need to happen. None of it individually is crazy but having the whole set of things go our way would be hard

125: Gilman major Larson. 0-4 (Larson is a better matchup so I hope we go with him)
133: Hall decision Lauz. 3-4
141: Moreno/Meeks decision Carton. 6-4
149: Sorenson major Straw. 6-8
157: Kemerer major Diblasi. 6-12
165: Pestano decision Gunther. 9-12
174: Meyer decision Weatherspoon. 9-15
184: Downey decision Brooks. 12-15
197: Harrington decision Wilcke. 15-15
HWT: Smith decision Holloway. 18-15

Get a pin out of Downey or Smith and you'd have room for 141 or 197 to go the other way.

Almost exactly what I put together in the Storr thread, except I flipped Pestano and Weatherspoon. Didn't give Kemerer the major. I also didn't predict 197, because I didn't have any idea who would be going at that weight when I put it together.

Sorensen getting a regular decision at 149 wouldn't surprise me. That guy really doesn't shoot that often

Oh...and absolutely agree with your caveat. Everything has to align perfectly for it to happen, and with it in IC, chances are slim. When I was looking at it though, I was a little surprised by what I saw as a pretty thin margin at a lot of weights.

So, if I'm understanding correctly, the only way to watch this is to fork of $20 for BigTen+, correct? BigTen2Go will not have it.

you could save yourself a couple bucks and just sign up for BTN+ and then do by team and select Iowa, and I think it would only cost you $9.99 for the dual

I hope Downey is healthy and wrestles Brooks. That has the potential to be a match like Long and McDonough. Hopefully we can compete with the rest of our lineup and this isn't us getting taken to the wood shed.

If you have BTN on your cable package do you have to sign up for BTN Plus separately? I read the FAQ page but it wasn't clear at all.

Yes. BTN Plus is internet-only, and is separate from BTN and BTN2Go.

I see what you're looking forward to. :) I don't know...broken ribs kinda hurt; you know? p.s. I wouldn't bet on that TF if I were you; but you do what you want. :) p.p.s. PD3 beat him at Universities after training with only himself and his high altitude mask, after Iowa Central's season had ended. Scary to think what he would do to him at 100%. But you go ahead and make that bet, big shot. :)

Yep. We subsidize that **** channel all year and then they want more money to actually show something on it. Good thing they have all those alternate channels that never get used.

And people in this state wonder why the sport of wrestling is dying.
