So they delayed development of one QB, their "starter is still unable to move, and their current #1 is out...all the while not going after any QBs in the portal...what a massive fumbling of the off-season for Iowa.

It sounds like it is because it offered the best opportunity for the rest of the team to learn the new offense. My guess is Lainez won't be long for Iowa. I think the new OC/QB coach is going to remake that room.

Deacon Hill sucks, but the Iowa QB room is now McNamara coming off a blown out knee, Lainez who was behind Hill on the depth chart (and didn’t look capable of throwing a football in his limited appearance) and a walk on. That’s concerning to say the least.
