Is Iowa State University my entire identity? Yeah pretty much and I am not afraid to admit that. Love this school! Go Cyclones!
Been reading the Oppenheimer book. I saw that General Leslie Groves presented ISU with an "E" award.
Its my understanding this was a big deal. A university typically didn't receive an award for excellence in production.
Is this flag anywhere? Sure seems like a major part of ISU and American history.

Wilhelm's story would make a great movie as well. A small town kid somehow finds his way into science by playing basketball. His small piece of the project was huge. There may be a recording from NPR were his granddaughter was interviewed last year during the openhiemer movie.
