I think we give up the fewest fouls because we have no choice in the matter

We are shooting FTs very poorly as a team. That too with Georges shooting FTs at around 90%. Take him out, and the FT shooting percentage of the rest of the team would be among the bottom 4-5 Div1 teams

Prohm needs to take away their green light to shoot contested 3s. If we shoot zero threes when UNI has tight coverage, we win the game. McKay was unstoppable but too many wanted to play hero ball. How hard is that to understand? Don't shoot 3s early in the shot clock when someone is covering you. This is not the NBA.

Or it's derived from our tendency to force quick possessions and settling for deep jump shots on a good majority of our possessions.

I think you're thinking of this backwards. I read that as we commit the fewest fouls.

What I meant by my comment is that we don't have the depth or talent to foul out any of our top 6-7.

BTW I should add that there are multiple of elite teams sitting at the bottom of several statistical categories. So drastic conclusions based on these are probably not the best way to read these.

I meant it in part to play off of the conservative comment as far as the offensive side as well. We are playing with a lot of space on defense allowing good looks.

Being slow in transition and recovery has lead to our offense feeling the pressure to put on more points as fast as possible. Playing from behind can lead to settling for 3 pointers rather than digging in the paint and playing physical ball.
