best moment around 3:00, on a run play run amok, the RB comes back across the field and Barnett lays a block on a LB without which the play probaby would've resulted in a loss or small game, instead it was a touchdown. GOOD TO SEE!

Thanks for posting. The video is excellent quality and although I am neither a real or supposed expert, Jared looks pretty good. Glad to have him.

Nice post. Looks like he is very mobile and can throw. Isn't this the kid that has a dad for a FB coach? If so, that is a major plus in what Herman is trying to do and the kid isn't even on campus.

Yes, his dad is an offensive coordinator and qb coach. Jared is his second son to play at the college level. His oldest son played QB at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. The offense Barnett ran in high school is almost identical to Herman's offense. Should be a plus for ISU!

He looks mobile, quick, and seems to have good knowledge of when to scramble. Of course all of the clips are highlight clips so it's hard to tell what the 99% of his other plays look like ;-).

He looks to shortarm his throws a bit. Some strength development in his arm would probably make him more of a threat. Excellent video presentation, thanks to the OP.

That was one hell of a block for a QB, very good sign when a QB is willing to do that

I actually thought that for a guy who can run that well, that he did a good job of looking to throw first and buying time with his feet. Seemed like he did a good job of checking down to open receivers too.
