That's a pretty good, accurate write up of the teams in the big twelve, probably the best one I have seen so far.

The Star is the best paper in the midwest in my opinion. At least they have a great sports section.

I have always loved the K.C. Star Sports page. They've always taken care of ISU.

Sad that we can't get the same quality of coverage in Iowa.

I noticed on the ESPN ticker last night during the Texas game that NE has the best defense in the Big XII statistically. Is that accurate or is it a function of the teams they have played to date??

Blair K does a good job covering the Big 12. If the ISU ended the season where he has them ranked that will be huge for this program.

A little bit of both. It's also skewed by the fact that they play VERY slow. But their SOS is also 234th, and their noncon SOS was a whopping 330th. So yes - they have played one of the worst schedules in the entire country so far.

I just looked - they have the 3rd worst noncon SOS of any BCS conference team. Only AZ St. and Oregon St. have worse ones.

I love it when ISU gets pub like that out side of central iowa.

Papers outside of Iowa (KC Star and OWH) actually cover Big 12 sports, which is awesome. The DMR just covers ISU. It's just not a big-time paper.

That will happen when you play
Presbyterian (they played against a religion?)
Alabama A&M
Norfolk State
Creighton (L)
IPFW
Arizona State
Western Kentucky (L)
Rutgers
Savannah State
Oregon
North Carolina Central
Alcorn State
Maryland Eastern-Shore

It's no wonder they have started out 0-3 in the league.

That schedule had to fire up the 800 Nebraska season ticket holders.
