Kiah Kellogg has been given her release by University of Minnesota Head Coach Pam Borton. There was no mention of where she we will be going but will leave at the end of the term. She averaged 5.1 ppg in her three years with the Gophers and has one more year of eligibility left.

Let's see, she's from Ames. She is a forward and ISU is short on forwards. She'll have to sit out next year, so she'll be eligible after Hallie is gone. That said, she'll probably end up with her sister at OU;)

macy keen would be a good grab.
let's return the favor to FSU with Bingley, and get Wells.
P. Roberts might be a good get too.

I had to look twice, also, but still 4 transfers - what's in the water out there?

First-year HC in 2012-13. Probably some players that didn't take too kindly to his ways. I do find it strange that only one of the Mekeever twins would transfer, though.

My understanding is that they hired a new coach last year, and he's sweeping clean at the end of this season. In fact, one scholly player last year got her offered pulled at the very last minute and she had to walk on elsewhere. Not cool in my book.

Kionna is a much better player than her younger sister - would love to have her here. She's be perfect in BF's system, and would flourish in it. Really weird to leave with just one year left; wonder if she was told to move on.
Regardless of how long her contract is, Minnesota should give Borton just one more year. They deserve better.
That university supports women's athletics very well, whether it be basketball, hockey, or volleyball. If they started winning again, they would average 10,000 fans a game.
Still don't understand Frese leaving Minn for Maryland - Terp fans really don't support the program as much there, averaging 5100 fans a game. Gopher fans would double that if they were given quality womens bball.

The there is growing distain for Burton up there most wanted her fired with Tubby and eat the contract but the old AD gave her a nice extension on his way out of town.

Frankly, I want the mess of Pam Borton to stay at Minnesota. We are on so many good recruits, we don't need a young firestarter of a coach to come to the U of M.

I watched a few MN games this year. Her team just looks so out of sorts, and if they didn't have Banham, who is a ball hog, they wouldn't have done much anyway.

Pam's drama around her love life with other basketball coaches in the area hasn't helped her in high school and AAU wbb circles in Minnesota much either.
