Kyven avenges his US Open loss to Austin Schaffer 8-1!. Schaffer got hurt at the end and looks like he will have to default the second match. Not the way Kyven wanted to win, I'm sure, but he was in control for most of the match.

I think it put him on the USA team, so provides with some payment/benefits from the USA Wrestling Federation.
Also gets to wrestle Snyder for spot of World team
By memory, I think they've only met once or twice in freestyle. I could be wrong.
Snyder won 10-0 and 13-2 in last years WTT
They didn't meet in Olympic Trials in 2016 , Varner beat him 4-0 there

Kyven was beaten very badly at WTT last year. He needs to force the upper body ties in my opinion. Snyder is slightly vulnerable there and Kyven is comfortable in that position. If it comes down to who gets the most takedowns, Snyder will win easy. Kyven needs to score a 4 pointer to have a shot.
Kyven was pretty passive at WTT last year against Snyder.
