Looks like the Mavericks are giving the Hawkeyes a hand full in Carver. Hitting some shots from deep and just went into the half with the Mavs up 43-36.

One of the crazy things about the first month or so of college basketball - anyone can beat anyone, regardless of talent. Rooting for UNO just because I'd love to see Hawk Nation, but won't be shocked to see an eIU victory.

Don't think there is any chance they actually lose, but not the look Fran is hoping for I think.

Even at half kenpom said they had Iowa at an 87% chance of winning.

I was expecting to see a lot more from Iowa on offense. Yikes. This game is sloppy

LOL at you guys worrying about how Iowas doing in basketball right now-no football to talk about??

The amount of stupid on the football board isn't giving you enough schadenfreude already? Now you're just being greedy

No college football on Sunday.

Love the Hawk fan coming into the basketball thread to bring up another sport though. That's when you know the basketball season is going well in Iowa City!

Single digit win over UNO in a game where Iowa attempted over 40 FT's. Well done by a Top Ten team.

Definitely not the kind of game I was hoping to see. But, I suppose they felt the need to make up for the football team playing well (albeit against Purdon't) and getting bowl-eligible. After all, it's not a weekend without #IowaThings (as the former DI photo editor and last season's football staff put it to describe all the monumental fails that combined to make the 2012 football season; it now applies to all Hawkeye-related fails).

WAY too many turnovers. I started banging my head against the wall on the one where White had a 2 on 1 break opportunity and passed it right to the one defender like he didn't even see him. Awful ball security. And the shooting still sucks.

Gingers have huge blind spots. Something to do with not having a soul.
