Technically, would "You're welcome" be incorrect? Granted, it's not a normal form of using the word, but "you're" is a contraction for the words "you are". Would "You are welcome" really be that inappropriate of a form of welcoming?

It's not even a technicality. You're welcome is correct.

The only way it wouldn't be is if someone was talking about the welcome you gave them or
"Your welcome mat sucks ***"
