Had a butthurt Hawk fan friend text me (re: black uniforms):

I'd like to see a little cardinal and gold trim somewhere on the black uniform, but that is just me. I much prefer for Campbell to do what he wants.

Silly me. I thought nothing could make Montgomery look more badass.

I wasn't a fan of the black idea, but this is done well. Hopefully we break these out for a night game and provide black t-shirts for every seat in the stadium (when it is warm enough to wear them, that is).

Can confirm...as a meteorologist, you can't have too many lightning bolts.

I think they whiffed on the red/cardinal accent on the home jerseys. Would've preffered gold in there somewhere but maybe they didn't want to put that with the black. The black collar isn't nearly as bad as the leaked photo although the black chinstrap doesn't work.

The jerseys are more mismatched with the helmets than in previous years, which looks kinda cheap.

Have no issues with the whites. Those are clean. The black feels like something subtle is missing, but they still look sharp.

I love the white and cardinal. I feel like the black is okay, but would have done a few things different. Biggest improvement for me is getting rid of those thick ass stripes over the shoulders.

Kinda figured that was coming. I don't think Campbell ever sent the team out there with gold uniforms and maybe only once or twice used the gold pants.
