The German league (BBL) has gotten better in the last 10-15 years. I know a bit about ALBA Berlin, which has a good following. This isn't a bad place to play: Chris Babb had a couple good years for Ulm and I think he was making like $400k at the time.

Riesen Ludwigsburg is kind of a middle-of-the-table club. They finished around 10th in the league. They play in a 3rd-tier international competition called the Basketball Champions League (which is lower than the EuroLeague and EuroCup).

If I had to guess, Nick might be pulling in $80k to $150k in his first year. Just a guess, based on other things I've read.

Hope he can find a good cell provider over there so he can keep us up to speed on how he’s doing.

From Hans Brase's wiki page - he did not play for this same team in his first year:

In his first season as professional basketball player, Brase averaged 5.2 points and 3.4 rebounds a game in 23 Bundesliga contests.[12] In June 2019, he signed with fellow Bundesliga side Riesen Ludwigsburg.[13]
