Why do coaches chose to run to the strong side of the field? Last night for a lot of the game on the weak side, ISU had at least one extra blocker than defender on the weak side of the field. There was lot of room to run and extra blockers to help out or pick up defenders. Yet most of the game they chose to run to the strong side were there was one on one blocking with little room for error. I have noticed this in the past as well, it just seems crazy to me to always run where there are more defenders and you have little room for error and it ends up being a huge pile up.
