Google is you friend:

Heated driveway cost ranges from $3,000 to $25,000, with the national average at about $12,900.

I’m guessing it’s closer to the top range than the bottom. Concrete work has gotten crazy expensive over the last few years. This is especially true if it’s replacing an existing driveway.

I don’t have a snow blower. Long, gravel drive with an approximate 45+ degree incline from road to house, so I use a 4wheeler. Drive goes east/west, so I try to pile everything on the south side. I’m going to have to knock the current pile further into the yard top down with the blade, because the wheeler won’t have the power to take the full load.

I know…”me problem”, but it’s gonna take a lot of doing. Should be fun.
I tried that when I moved to my place. 600' N-S lane, driveway on East Side of House and big gravel yard between 4 buildings and a gravel yard.

I bought a tractor with a FEL and 7' blade the next day.

Did that for that year.

Bought an 8' 3 point snowblower. I believe that is the ticket!

Did Des Moines miss an initial wave? WU reduced totals and it looks like we’re in the DSM bubble.

No, the accumulations weren’t happening until overnight. Why do people the second it doesn’t start snowing at 9pm think it’s a bust and things aren’t happening?

The predictions on WU have gone down 3 inches and DSM is in a clear zone with snow to the east and west? Pretty crazy question I guess.

One of my kids was born in a blizzard. I guess something to do with barometric pressure? We got to hospital ok but doctor arrived just in time to see the head emerge and a lot of blood. Stuck in snow on I-235.

Fortunately this cannot happen to me again but if I was within two weeks of my due date, I would be hanging by the hospital.

Yup. ^^^

Just a pocket of dry air in the vertical profile of the atmosphere(we knew it was there) but the band of snow is overall arriving a couple hours late. Everything is still on track.

Dry air for a short time like last storm then booom when we’re all sleeping soundly to wake up to more snow with intensity.

Looking to the cold after the storm. There is possible Weathergamis in the works. Yes... like scorigami but with the daily high/low temps.

It has been 144 days since Des Moines had a Weathergami.
