Anyone in DSM area: I see the temp has shot up is there any clearing going on?

A bit in Waukee. Really wondering about our plans for a 7pm movie. Obviously nothing compared to thoughts and prayers for those impacted today/tonight.

I'm reading this with weather nerdiness, then concern for all my friends in Omaha, THEN my freakin' brain reminds me my FIL and his wife live in west Omaha.

Edit: Husband just got in touch with his dad. They're good. *whew*

My son moved out of the apartment building last year that is next to a neighborhood that has houses that were destroyed.

Ryan Hall Y’all on YouTube has several chasers on the ground. Humbling and scary situation. Been watching tornadoes on the ground since about 2:00 pm.

Minden in direct path, moving up toward west of Harlan. Casualties in Lincoln, and flight delays at Eppley. No casualties. Nebraska tornado could be record. Tornado on the ground for over 55 miles, south of underwood to outside Manila.

Grew up less than 10 miles from there, hard to even recognize parts of the town in that video it got damaged so much.
