I think BYU will get some strong assurances that the remaining 9 aren't going anywhere and then they will accept the invite.

So was the whole thing with the TT chanchellor from a day or two ago true? Said the Big 12 would go after Pitt, ND, and BYU?

BYU to issue statement on Big 12 speculation

Provo • Brigham Young University has announced that it will issue a statement late Wednesday afternoon regarding speculation surrounding BYU as a possible replacement for Texas A&M in the Big 12.

A&M announced Wednesday morning that it has formally told Big 12 officials of its decision to leave the conference, presumably to join the Southeaster Conference in 2012.

BYU has been mentioned in numerous media reports as a school that is at, or near the top of a list of candidates that could possibly replace the Aggies.

If this were good news #BYU would hold a press conference, the statement will be identical to Notre Dames last week. A big no thanks

Yeah the layout sucks, but it's funny to read all the threads. Seems like 99% of them want to be in the Big 12.

BYU will say,

"We understand the mass hysteria and the thought of BYU being a possible replacement for Texas A&M in the Big 12. As of RIGHT now, we are happy where we are at with our independence and our relationship with the WCC for all other sports. We also know that the college landscape may change and we will look out for the best interest of BYU. Now, where are all the hookers and blow?"

I would love to see BYU join the big 12.....



If the BYU Cougars dont join the big 12 that decision will rank right up there with

aTm's decision to join the southeastern conference and staying home during the


bowl season...


I predict that Brigham Young will JOIN us in the Big 12....
