Are ISU fans OK with a road game at Akron?
I am. You act like this is so uncommon. Miami (FL) is playing at Toledo next year, Utah is playing at Northern Illinois, etc.

It's usually the deal. I don't have a problem with it and it definitely benefits the non P5 schools which I don't think is a bad thing. It'll probably be one of their biggest crowds of the year and they need the revenue.Don't know the details of the contract
Why are troll hawks still posting in this thread? You won, congrats. Go away now douchebags.
Actually, we both won according to a lot of ISU fans in this ISR forum and Jeff Woody.
ISU will be bowl eligible in moral victories by the end of October.

They do get tired of moral victories after about 6-7 years of a coach. Mac and his won the second half stuff. Then Rhoads leading X many games his last year. Although they were ok with CMC leading X many games the following year?
It isn't that common and shouldn't happen and I doubt many fans are happy that their school schedules away games like this.
But I know that ISU will defend Pollard no matter what he does even though he doesn't have the track record or the results to match his popularity among the fan base.
Iowa played at Miami (Ohio) as part of a 2 for 1 in 2002. Also with Northern Illinois, although the "road" game at Northern was turned into a neutral game at Soldier Field in either 2011 or 12 I think. I wouldn't call it common, but with the costs skyrocketing for getting non-con teams against non-P5 conference teams, doing a 2 for 1 in lieu if paying that school a ton of money for a home game, it can make sense.
Iowa played NIU at Soldier Field twice, 2007 and 2012. The games in Kinnick were in 2006 and 2013.
There is a thread on HR about the music being too loud in Jack Trice, how cute.
It does seem kind of like an arena league or minor league baseball atmosphere with the loud music. To each their own though.
I love it. I've been to Kinnick many times and the music at Historic Jack Trice Stadium is so much better.
Kinnick doesnt play a lot of music over the PA system. You will get some Hells Bells, Welcome to the Jungle or Thunderstruck on 3rd down when the Hawks are on defense but other than that you dont hear much during the game.
And just the way I like it. Hate all the piped in music.
