Its actually not a terrible play call.... if the defense is sucked inside and you can get the edge secured, there's no leverage defender and you can out flank the defense.

Of course that is presuming you are going to be able to block on the perimeter and set the edge. Otherwise yes, it will get blown the F up

Well, that audible looked to be on Purdy. Not sure why he didn’t just quick pitch to Breece when he was lined up to Purdy’s right and OU had NOBODY lined up outside on that side. Sigh.
