Gabe Kalscheur last season @Wisconsin:
MIN FG FG% 3PT 3P% FT FT% REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS
36 4-12 33.3 3-10 30.0 4-5 80.0 7 2 0 0 0 3 15

So basically an average night for good Gabe, I think he'll play well.
An excellent take. Knowing this opponent as he does, having played Wisconsin for 3 years, I have no doubt he will rise to the occasion. Remember, too, he grew up in the Twin Cities, as did Robert Jones, so they will both definitely be focused for this tip-off.

The big 10 is just overrated. Every team has struggled significantly in every NCAA game, even their wins.
CBS just said the Big 10 is back because they’re 8-3 so far in the tournament. Illinois is also losing while they say it. Meanwhile Big XII is 7-1 so far.

It never ends. The guys win tonight it will be:

....they didn't just play 4 games in 4 days
....only traveled a couple hundred miles instead of cross country, thanks JP
....played with familiar balls
....Wisconsin played their worst game of the season
....Davis was only at 10%
....and on and on and on

It never ends.
You forgot a couple…
wisconsin just came out flat
officiating was so one sided
it was obviously our super bowl
and on and on lol

Big 10 benefitted from some generous seeding and still generally looked like **** in their first round wins

Hopefully that big 10 narrative dies today

Everyone wants to be overseeded, thinking they get the easier path, but it just makes it look worse when you lose, IMO.

Apparently that portion of cyclones.com isn't updated ... Iowa State has faced UW twice since then -- according to cyclones.com Records archive. 1977 at Hilton; 1981 Far West Classic. ('74 is most-recent game in Madison). (Addendum: I didn't seek to dispute, I saw initial Q and checked the archive myself before seeing any other responses)
