Chicago was never getting rid of Butler. That would have been stupid beyond comprehension. It's pretty clear Hoiberg has made some good personnel decisions. Lopez with the ugly but deadly jumpers, Rondo playing well, etc. Get rid of the old chaff loyal to the previous system.

I agree with you there but you'd be shocked how many fans in Chicago didn't the past few years. Can't say I know as much now that I moved out of the market, but the overwhelming sports talk and fan opinion was to trade Butler while he had max value.

Rondo's renaissance has really helped the Bulls. When he is dishing and playing great D, the Bulls are scary good.
