Goodnight Sweetheart by the Spaniels:

"Goodnight sweetheart, well it's time to go..." plus

"Well it's three o'clock in the morning,
baby I just can't treat you right,
Well I hate to leave you..."

I don't know who's covering who but this is The Valentinos' version of I Used to Love Her:

Well, baby used to stay out all night long
She made me cry, she did me wrong
She had my nose open, that's no lie
Tables turn, and now it's her turn to cry

Because I used to love her, but it's all over now
Because I used to love her, but it's all over now

Well, she used to run around with every man in town
She spent all my money, tryin' to play the high-class game
When she put me out, it was a pity how I cried
But the tables turn, and now it's her turn to cry

Because I used to love her, but it's all over now
Because I used to love her, but it's all over now

Well, I used to wake up in the morning and get my breakfast in bed
Whenever I got worried she would rub my aching head
But now she's here and there, with every man in town
She's still trying to take me for that same old clown

Because I used to love her, but it's all over now
Because I used to love her, but it's all over now

Going to count this lyric because I don't consider the jibberish "dum de dum de da da" at the start really the start of the song as part lyrics really

"Well, I walk into the room Passing out hundred dollar bills"

All in-song.

“Well if these things change your day.”
“Well do you know where you belong?”
“Well if these thoughts change your day.”
“Well if this song makes your day.”

I can NOT believe I did not think of this last night. One of my all-time favorites.

Well, I'm busted, disgusted,
and I'm bent all out of shape,
Oh, I'm busted, downright disgusted,
this is my darkest day.
Oh, ya talk about the low down Blues, I
got em. I do believe I've hit rock bottom.

[...]

Oh well, well, well, well, well, well, well...
Oh-oh well, well, well, well, well, well, well..."

Sioux City Iowa native and James Gang and Deep Purple guitarist ...

Tommy Bolin, Poast Toastee

Well my mind has been overflowin'
About some things that don't seem right
And my gun is cocked and loaded,
I hope I give me some sleep tonight.

I never had the chance to see Deep Purple but saw band members including Blackmore and Glover (Rainbow), Ian Gillan and Bolin in what I think was his second to the last concert, in Sioux City before dying of an overdose in Florida about a week later.

Well, we know where we're goin'
But we don't know where we've been
And we know what we're knowin'
But we can't say what we've seen

Well, the first days are the hardest days
Don't you worry anymore
'Cause when life looks like Easy Street
There is danger at your door

Well, rock the cradle of love

Well, I've got a woman way across town
She's good to me, oh yeah

Well, my baby and me went out late Saturday night

Well, they took some honey
From a tree
Dressed it up and they called it me

Well, I woke up Sunday mornin'
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad
So I had one more for dessert
