isn't it being held in Texas? Last time I checked, neither WI nor AL are in Texas. This location makes no sense to me. Plus no WI fans are traveling to TX to watch a likely beatdown.

Badger fans as a rule travel well for bowl games. I was surprised myself until I saw it was in Texas. Personally I'd have a tough time travelling that far for an opening game.

Alabama has sold 30k tickets to a game 10 hours from Tuscaloosa. The problem is DFW Natives and Sconnies aren't buying tickets.

They have another one of these in Arlington next year against USC. Plus playoff and SEC champ game. That's a lot of traveling over time.

Alabama has sold 30k tickets to a game 10 hours from Tuscaloosa. The problem is DFW Natives and Sconnies aren't buying tickets.

No surprise there either. Texas fans will be watching the ND game. OU fans will be watching their team play. Aggies will be watching their game in Houston. Not many casual CFB fans are left over.

Neutral site regular season games in locations a long way from either school are not the best idea in the world.

I applaud Wisconsin fans for not wanting to fund an SEC/Big XII region stadium with those crazy prices. My wife hates me spending $425 for a season ticket, I can't imagine paying $300+ and have to travel to Dallas in the SUMMER.

This pretty much hits for your hate cycle, doesn't it?

And I completely agree. I would watch this matchup as a bowl game over the holidays, but as a regular season game, I want to see it played on campus where it belongs.

One of my buddies "hooked us up" to the tune of $275 club tickets to the Fiesta Bowl last year (AZ vs. Boise). I like college football as much as the next guy, have a decent disposable income, and still felt like it was a complete rip off.

Not surprised that they're struggling to get anyone to pay that much.
